The American Advertising Federation of Northern Illinois collected 238 children’s books for the Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive. Ad Fed members donated the books to the Barnes & Noble store at Cherryvale Mall on December 22. “We’re thankful for the generous contributions of books from the advertising community to help disadvantaged kids in the Rockford area,” said Doug Burton, AAF NI President. Rockford author John Gile donated 150 copies of his book, “The First Forest,” to the Ad Fed for the book drive. The books will be distributed to homeless and disadvantaged children and young adults in the Rockford area. |
